Hyde Park Healthy Trails Walkabout

The Hyde Park Healthy Trails Walkabout is an annual program to encourage walking for health. Hike at least 5 Hyde Park trails this year and earn a free, sew-on patch.


The annual Hyde Park Trail End2End is a supported, 9-mile end-to-end walk/hike/fun-run on the trunkline Hyde Park Trail, from FDR’s Top Cottage to the Vanderbilt Mansion. It takes place annually on National Trails Day, which is the first Saturday in June.

Winnakee Arboretum

The self-guided Winnakee Arboretum tour is approximately 1.1 miles long, with rolling hills and sections of moderately steep and rocky terrain.

A Self-Guided Walk Along the Roosevelt Farm Lane Trail

A family-oriented self-guided walk featuring the many plants and animals found in the forest, pools, and streams that make up the ecosystem along the Roosevelt Farm Lane trail.

Historic Walking Tour

This walking tour focuses on the historic Hyde Parkhamlet centered at the crossroads of Market Streetand Albany Post Road, from the Vanderbilt MansionNational Historic Site south to Albertson Street. Thisarea formed the municipal, commercial, social andresidential core of the community.
