New York State Town Law defines the jobs of elected officials. The Town Supervisor is the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Town and has many other duties. The NY State Comptroller has provided a guide (PDF) for elected officials, which can be helpful in understanding the responsibilities of town officials.

Along with the Town Board, the Supervisor is elected every two years. The Highway Superintendent, the Town Clerk, and the Tax Receiver serve four-year terms.

The Town is divided into four wards, and each representative is elected to represent their ward on the Town Board every two years.
