1. What time do the parks open and close?

Parks open at 8:00 am and close at dusk, Monday – Sunday.

Hackett Hill Park is closed to the public during the hours of Adventure Day Camp during the summer. Please refer to the latest Recreation Brochure for dates of Adventure Day Camp.

2. How do I register my child for day camp and swimming lessons?

We are rolling out our new online registration system for Summer 2021. Please find our recreation homepage here (link), and our list of programs and activities here (link). For help and questions using our registration system, please call us at 845-229-8086, or send an email to summercamp@hydeparkny.us.

To register by mail, please complete the Registration Form. To drop this form off at the recreation office, we have installed a drop box at our Recreation Department (Hackett House - 59 East Market Street). Due to occupancy limits we are doing our best to limit in person registration this year. 

3. How do I sign up for the Senior Drop-In Center and Seniorcise?

Please call 229-8086, ext. 4 for more information and to register for the Senior Center. The Senior Center is located at the Dutch Reformed Church Hall, 4408 Albany Post Road.

The Senior Center is open to any resident who lives in the Town of Hyde Park and is age 62 and over.

4. How do I sign my child up for Little League, Soccer or Hyde Park Presidents Youth Football & Cheerleading?

These programs are independent from the Town’s Recreation Department. For more information click the links for these youth organizations:

5. How do I become a sponsor for a community event?

7. Is there a fee to play on the Disc Golf Course at Hackett Hill Park?

No, it is open and free to the public.
